Download Superstudio for Mac

Install

  1. Unzip the download.
  2. Drag Superstudio.app into your Applications folder.
  3. Double-click to launch.

First-launch warning?

macOS may say “Superstudio.app can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.” This is because Superstudio isn’t notarized yet — not because it’s unsafe. To allow it:

  1. Click OK on the warning dialog.
  2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and scroll to the bottom.
  3. You’ll see a line about Superstudio being blocked. Click Open Anyway and enter your Mac password.
  4. Double-click Superstudio again — this time you’ll get an Open button. Click it.

You only have to do this once per version. If you’re comfortable with Terminal, the one-line equivalent is xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Superstudio.app.

Updates

Superstudio checks for a newer version on launch and shows an Update available button above the workspace switcher when one is published. You can also run Superstudio → Check for Updates… from the menu bar anytime. Clicking either opens the download in your browser; installing is the same drag-into-Applications step as above.
